Adding Images to Proposals

Make your proposals stand out by including images/photos to your liking. Images appear between your Scope of Work and line items.

Adding an Image Section

  1. Open your estimate and switch to the Proposal view
  2. Click the Add Section button
  3. Select Image Section

An image placeholder grid appears in the proposal preview, ready for you to add images.

Choosing Images

Click the image placeholder area to open the image picker. You have several options for sourcing images:

  • Upload new — Take an image with your camera or choose from your device
  • From this estimate — Select from media already uploaded to the current estimate
  • From this project — Select from the project's media library
  • Recent images — Browse images from your other recent estimates

You can select multiple images at once, then confirm your selection.

Tip: On mobile, the upload option opens your camera directly — great for snapping a quick photo before sending a proposal.

How Images Display

Images appear in a 3-column grid that maintains natural aspect ratios — no cropping or distortion. This layout is consistent across both the on-screen proposal preview and the PDF your client receives.

Adding Captions

Captions are optional and appear below each image.

  • On desktop — Click below any image to type a caption inline
  • On mobile — Tap an image, then select Edit caption from the menu

Captions are specific to the proposal and won't change the original image's description elsewhere in the app.

Tip: Use captions to point out specific details — e.g., "Existing deck boards to be replaced" or "View from street showing access point."

Reordering Images

Drag and drop images to rearrange the order they appear in the proposal. The order is saved automatically.

Removing Images

Remove a Single Image

  • On desktop — Hover over the image and hit the X button
  • On mobile — Tap the image and select Remove from proposal

Removing an image from the proposal does not delete the original image from your estimate or project.

Remove the Entire Image Section

To remove all the section click the bin icon next to the section.

 

What Your Client Sees

When you send the proposal, images appear in the same 3-column grid between the Scope of Work and the pricing breakdown. Captions display below each image in the PDF as well.

Images make proposals feel more professional and help clients understand more about the job — especially useful for jobs where the scope might not be obvious from a written description alone.
