How to Fix Session Expired and Login/Logout Issues
If you're stuck on a loading screen or seeing session errors (e.g. "Could not verify device status", "Could not load setup progress", "Edge function returned non 2xx response code"), clearing your browser's saved data for Sammy will fix it. Follow the steps for your browser below, then reopen Sammy and sign in again.
How to clear your browser cache and cookies
Chrome (Desktop & Mobile)
- Go to the Sammy web app in your browser (app.withsammy.ai)
- Click the lock icon (or tune icon) in the address bar
- Click "Site settings"
- Tap "Clear data" or "Delete data"
- Close the tab and reopen Sammy
Alternatively: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear browsing data → select Cookies and other site data → Last 24 hours (or whenever you last logged into your account) → Clear data
Safari (iPhone / iPad)
- Open Settings → Apps → Safari → Advanced → Website Data
- Search for app.withsammy.ai
- Swipe left on the row
- Tap Delete
Safari (Mac)
- Open Safari → menu bar → Safari → Settings (or Preferences)
- Go to the Privacy tab
- Click "Manage Website Data..."
- Search for the Sammy domain, select it, and click "Remove"
- Close the tab and reopen Sammy
Edge (Desktop)
- Go to the Sammy web app (app.withsammy.ai) in your browser
- Click the lock icon in the address bar
- Click "Site permissions"
- Click "Reset permissions", then also clear site data:

Mobile App (iOS)
- Delete the Sammy app
- Reinstall from the App Store
- Open the app and sign in again
Mobile App (Android)
- Go to Settings → Apps → Sammy
- Tap Storage → Clear Data
- Reopen the app and sign in again
