Simpro Integration
Connect your Simpro account to push estimates as draft quotes, import customers, and use your Simpro catalogue and labour rates when estimating.
Availability
The Simpro integration is available on the Pro plan. You can connect it yourself any time — just follow the steps below. No waitlist or setup call needed.
Connecting to Simpro
- Go to Settings in the sidebar
- Select the Integrations tab
- Find the Simpro card
- Enter your Simpro URL (e.g.
yourcompany.simprosuite.com) - Click Connect to Simpro
- You'll be redirected to Simpro to log in and authorise access
- After authorising, you'll be sent back to Sammy
- Choose which company to connect from the dropdown (even if you only have one, you need to select it)
- Click Connect to [company name]
Your connection is now active.
Syncing Your Catalogue
Before you can match estimate items to your Simpro catalogue, you need to sync it.
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Find your Simpro connection
- Click Sync Catalogue
- Wait for the sync to finish — you'll see the item count and when it was last synced
This pulls your catalogue items, labour rates, and cost centres from Simpro into Sammy. Re-sync any time you add or change items in Simpro.
Importing Prebuilds as Kits
If you've built prebuilds in Simpro, you can bring them straight into Sammy as Kits — reusable bundles of labour and materials you drop into any estimate. Kits are Sammy's version of prebuilds, so this saves you rebuilding them by hand. (See Using Kits for how kits work.)
- Go to Settings > Integrations and open your Simpro connection
- Find the Prebuilds → Kits section and turn the toggle on
- Click Scan prebuilds — Sammy lists every prebuild in your Simpro account, grouped by category
- Tick the prebuilds you want. Tick a whole group at once, expand a group to pick individual prebuilds, or use the search box to find one by name
- Click Import [number] selected
Sammy imports only the prebuilds you ticked, not your whole library, so your kit list stays tidy. Each one becomes a kit with the same name, materials, and labour, ready to use. When it's done, click View your Kits to see them in your library.
Tip: Sync your catalogue first (above), then import — that way Sammy can match each prebuild's materials to your catalogue for the most accurate pricing.
Preserve Simpro pricing
By default, imported prebuilds are itemised and re-priced through your own Sammy margins, so they behave like any other Sammy kit and feed your takeoff and material ordering.
If you'd rather keep each prebuild's exact Simpro price, turn on Preserve Simpro pricing before you import. The kit then comes in as a single fixed-price line at the Simpro total. You can change a kit's pricing later in the kit editor.
Re-importing and removing
- Re-import any time. Scan and import again to pull in new prebuilds, or to update ones you've already imported with their latest Simpro pricing. Estimates you've already sent or saved never change — they keep the version of the kit they were built with.
- Remove them. Click Remove imported kits to delete every kit that came from Simpro in one go. Kits you built by hand are left alone, and any estimate that already used an imported kit keeps its copy.
Importing Customers from Simpro
Instead of creating clients manually, you can import them straight from Simpro.
- Go to Clients
- Click Import from Simpro
- Search for the customer by name
- Click on a customer to import them
The customer's details (name, company, email, phone, address) are pulled from Simpro and a new client is created in Sammy. Customers you've already imported are marked so you don't import them twice.
Importing is optional for pushing: if you push an estimate for a client that didn't come from Simpro, Sammy creates the customer in Simpro for you on the first push.
How Simpro Affects Your Estimates
Labour rates
When you generate or adjust an estimate, Sammy automatically uses your Simpro labour rates for pricing. You don't need to do anything — if you have an active Simpro connection with a synced catalogue, your rates are used in the AI's pricing.
Matching items to your catalogue
After generating an estimate, you can match items to your Simpro catalogue:
- Open the estimate in the editor
- Click Match to Simpro in the toolbar
- Sammy suggests matches from your catalogue for each item
- Review the suggestions — you can accept, change, or skip each one
- Click Apply to update the estimate with matched items
Matched items show which catalogue entry or labour rate they're linked to. Unmatched items will be pushed as one-off items.
Pushing an Estimate to Simpro
Once your estimate is ready, you can push it to Simpro as a draft quote.
- Open the estimate
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Send Proposal
- Select Push to Simpro
- Map each estimate group to a Simpro cost centre (use "Set all to..." if they're all the same)
- Choose the quote type (Project, Service, or Prepaid)
- Review the summary
- Click Push to Simpro
The estimate is sent to Simpro as a structured draft quote with sections, cost centres, and properly linked catalogue items.
What gets pushed
| Sammy | Simpro |
|---|---|
| Estimate | Draft quote |
| Site address on the estimate | The quote's site — Sammy finds or creates a matching site under the customer in Simpro. If the estimate has no site address, the customer's default site is used |
| The person the estimate is addressed to | The quote's customer contact |
| Client's extra contacts | Contacts on the Simpro customer — added when Sammy first creates the customer |
| Groups | Sections with cost centres |
| Items matched to catalogue | Catalogue line items |
| Items matched to labour rates | Labour line items |
| Unmatched items | One-off items (material or labour) |
| Quantities and pricing | Per-unit pricing with quantities |
After pushing
Once pushed, the estimate status changes to In Simpro. This means:
- Editing is locked — make changes in Simpro instead, or duplicate the estimate in Sammy to create an editable copy
- Send Proposal is hidden — send the quote to your client from Simpro
- You can still download PDFs, proposals, and CSV exports from the estimate
Checking Quote Status
After pushing to Simpro, you can check how the quote is progressing.
- Open the estimate
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Send Proposal (or the Simpro menu item)
- The drawer shows the current status from Simpro
- Click Refresh to pull the latest status
You'll see:
- Quote stage — In Progress, Complete, or Approved
- Customer response — New, Pending, Declined, or Accepted
- Job number — if the quote has been converted to a job in Simpro
The status also appears in the estimate subtitle on the detail page.
Disconnecting Simpro
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Disconnect next to your Simpro connection
Your synced catalogue data is removed. Estimates already pushed to Simpro remain there — disconnecting only affects future operations.
Troubleshooting
Connection expired
If your Simpro connection stops working, you may need to reconnect:
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- You'll see an "Expired" warning on the Simpro card
- Enter your Simpro URL and click Reconnect
- Re-authorise in Simpro and select your company again
Push fails
If pushing an estimate to Simpro fails, check:
- Catalogue is synced — sync your catalogue if you haven't recently
- Cost centres are assigned — every group needs a cost centre selected before pushing
- Items have quantities and prices — Simpro requires these for all line items
The error message will usually tell you what's wrong.
Catalogue sync issues
If the sync takes a long time or fails:
- Check your internet connection
- Try syncing again — temporary network issues can interrupt the sync
- If it keeps failing, contact support
