Team Plans and Billing
Everything you need to know about how Sammy Team plans are priced and billed.
The plans

The "people" count includes you, the owner. All prices include GST.
It's a flat price, not per person
You pay one price for the whole plan, no matter how many seats you've filled. A Team 3 plan is $249/month whether you've added one member or all three. Adding a member (within your seat limit) doesn't cost extra, and removing one doesn't reduce your bill. You only pay more when you move up from Team 3 to Team 5 to get more seats.
Monthly or yearly
You can pay monthly or yearly. Paying yearly saves you around 20% compared to twelve monthly payments.
Who pays and who manages billing
The owner — the person who started the team — is the billing contact. Only the owner can see and change the plan, update the card, and view invoices, under Settings → Billing. Admins and members can't access billing.
What happens when I start a team from Pro?
If you were already paying for Pro on your own, starting a team cancels your personal Pro subscription and replaces it with the team plan. You won't be double-charged.
What happens to my crew if I cancel?
If the owner cancels the team plan, everyone on the team drops back to the free Basic plan. Your data isn't deleted — it's preserved — but the shared Pro features switch off until you're on an active plan again.
Can I run a Team plan from my phone?
Team plans can only be started and paid for on the web (in a browser), not through the App Store or Play Store. This is because the app stores don't support team subscriptions. Once the team is set up, everyone can use the Sammy mobile app as normal — it's only the plan setup and billing that need a browser.
If you currently pay for Pro through the App Store or Play Store, cancel that there first (or let it lapse), then start your team from the Sammy website.
Do team members need their own subscription?
No. Once they're on the team, members get full Pro access as part of the team plan — they don't pay anything and don't need their own subscription. If they leave the team, they'd need their own Pro plan to keep the full features.
Changing seats
To go from Team 3 to Team 5 (or back), change your plan under Settings → Billing. Your seat limit updates to match the new plan.
