Where You Can Upload

Estimates

When creating or editing an estimate, use the media upload dropdown to add: - Site photos - Videos explaining the job - Plans and specifications

These help Sammy understand the scope and generate more accurate estimates.

Projects

In the project Media tab, upload: - Site photos by category (Site Photos, Plans & Drawings, Specifications, etc.) - Reference images - Client-provided documents

Supplier Lists

When adding supplier product lists: - CSV files with product data - Excel spreadsheets with pricing

Tips for Better Uploads

Images

  • Good lighting – Clear, well-lit photos help Sammy see details
  • Multiple angles – Capture different views of the work area
  • Include scale reference – A tape measure or known object helps with dimensions
  • Label if possible – Add notes about what's shown in each photo

Videos

  • Keep it steady – Slow, stable footage is easier to analyse
  • Narrate – Talk through what you're showing
  • Cover the whole area – Pan across the full scope of work
  • Keep it short – Focus on relevant details

Documents

  • Clear scans – Ensure plans are legible
  • Correct orientation – Rotate documents to the right orientation before uploading
  • Name files clearly – Use descriptive file names

Troubleshooting Uploads

If uploads fail, check:

  • File size – Ensure files are within the limits
  • File format – Verify it's a supported type
  • Internet connection – Large files need a stable connection
