7 July Release — Team Accounts, Client Contacts + Saved Messages

Morning, everyone.

Krishna here. The big one this time is Sammy Team — you and your crew sharing the one workspace instead of everyone running a separate account. Alongside it we've made the Send Proposal flow a lot tidier: you can now keep more than one contact per client, and save the covering messages you send over and over. And Sammy can now undo and roll back your estimate just by asking him in chat.

Quick note: we ship every day. This article covers the major stuff worth knowing about. If you're unsure how anything works, ask Sammy in chat — he can walk you through it step by step.

Here's what's new.

Sammy Team — one workspace for your whole crew

If it's more than just you quoting, Team is for you.

Bring your estimator, your admin, or your business partner into Sammy and everyone works from the same estimates, invoices, clients, kits and settings. No more each person running their own separate account and quoting three different ways — the whole business works from one shared workspace.

Set it up under Settings → Team. Pick a plan, then invite your crew by email and choose whether each person is an Admin (can invite and remove people and manage the business settings and trained brain) or a Member (does all the day-to-day work, but leaves the team and billing to you). Everything you'd already built on your own account is right there in the shared workspace — nothing to import, nothing lost.

Team plans are a flat price for the whole crew, not per person — Team 3 for up to three people, Team 5 for up to five, monthly or yearly. If you were already on Pro, starting a team swaps your Pro subscription for the team plan, so you're never double-charged. Team plans are set up on the web; once you're running, everyone can use the mobile app as normal.

More than one contact per client

A company rarely has just one person you deal with — there's the site manager on the tools, the accounts person who pays, and the owner who signs off.

Now you can store all of them under the one client. Open a client, scroll to Contacts, and add as many people as you need, each with their own role, email and phone. The person you first created the client with stays at the top as the primary contact.

Where it pays off is sending. When a client has more than one contact, the Send Proposal screen lets you pick which contact the proposal is addressed to, greet that person by name, and Cc the others so they get a copy too. You can even set who the job is "Prepared for" on the estimate itself before you send, so the right name shows on the on-screen preview and any PDF you download.

Save your go-to proposal message

If you find yourself typing the same covering note every time you send a proposal, you can now save it.

Write the message and the subject line once, save it with a name, and reuse it on any send. Mark one as your default and it fills in automatically each time you send — re-personalised for the new client, but never over the top of anything you're still editing.

The clever bit is fill-in fields. Drop [Client first name], [Your name] and the like into your saved message, and Sammy swaps in the real details for each client and each proposal. No more retyping the same email, and no more generic "Dear Client".

It all lives right in the Send Proposal flow — no extra settings page to hunt through.

Undo and roll back, just by asking

Sammy already saves a version every time he changes your estimate. Now you can reach all of that straight from the chat.

Tell Sammy "undo that", "go back to before you changed the prices", or "show me my recent versions" and he'll roll the estimate back for you — no digging through the version history panel. It's the same trusted restore you already had under Version History, just faster to get to when you're mid-conversation.

Full walkthrough: Undo, redo, and version history.

Improvements

  • Individuals vs companies. Mark each client as an individual or a company, so Sammy labels them correctly on documents and pushes the right details through to Xero, Simpro, ServiceM8 and Ascora.
  • Bulk-import your Xero customers. Pull your existing Xero customer list into Sammy in one go from Settings, instead of adding them one at a time.
  • Refer & Save now pays cash. When a mate you refer subscribes, you can earn a cash reward, not just account credit.
  • Sharper answers in chat. Ask Sammy how something in the product works and his answers are now grounded on our help articles, so they're more accurate.
  • Billing fix. Fixed annual subscribers occasionally being shown as monthly on the billing screen.

As always, hit us with a message if you've got feedback or ideas — I read every single one.

Cheers, Krishna Pryor Co-founder, Sammy AI
